Matthew T. Ternes

Our dear colleague, Matt Ternes, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Grafton, Ohio on December 31, 2019.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Matt was born in Elyria, Ohio.  He graduated in 1986 from Elyria Catholic High School.  He worked as a saleman for 36 years.  He was co-owner of Elite Industrial Controls in Berlin Heights, and was a manufacturers rep for Tel Rep Marketing.

Matt was a member of St. Jude Church, Knights of Columbus, and the 

Elyria Moose Lodge.

Matt was a constant tinkerer around the house.  He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and restoring his John Deere tractor.

Matt is survived by his wife of thirty years, Kathryn.  They have three daughters; Marisa A. Diederich; Meredith A. Ternes; Mackenna A. Ternes, all of Grafton.  Two sons: Matthew T. Ternes, II of San Franciso, CA, and Myles A. Ternes of Grafton.  Matt also leaves behind four sisters and two brothers.
